We are currently testriding this T-Rail seatpost/saddle system by KORE. The minimalist design suits our own "reduce to the max" principle of construction

and is exceptionally easy and quick to set up and adjust. The seatpost comes with an adapter for saddles with standard 7mm rails. Read about our riding experiences with this system here soon!

In cooperation with the renowned highend-steel producerReynolds (853 tubing) we`re working amongst other custom tubes on a new MTB-seattube. Triggered by the new possibility of mounting the front dereilleur on a small braze on instead of the usual clamp, we wanted a tube that could directly take a 30.9mm seatpost. This way we can save not only the front dereilleur clamp, but also seattubeshims or similar solutions commonly used in steelframes.
Our new 29er will feature this new tube as the first frame, but this tube - contrary to our TT+DT - is nonexclusive and will be available for framebuilders soon.

29er prototyp build-up draws near and this Sun Ringlé CHARGER Pro 29er is the wheelset of chioce. It was quite difficult to get it, as there`s currently no german distributor of Sun Ringlé, but thanks to Clayton and Sean ...

Based on Stan`s Tubeless System, with stiff cross-section of the rim and straightpull hubs it has all the features we want in a wheelset. Also nice are its light weight and the fact that it comes with adapters for all diameter and standards you can think of: VR- 20mm,15mm, 9mm; HR- 142mm X12, 135x12mm, 9mm)

Old frame of the very first series with open dropouts, refurbished for the third time now.

Apart from a little dent on one of the seatstays,the frame is still perfectly in shape after a couple of 1000 offroad klmtrs and starts into its next spring with fresh color (RAL 4005 superflat).

2008 we were asked by a local bikeshop to develop a Crosscountry oriented 29er steelframe concept.

The result

was a success and has been heavily used and abused till this day. Due to the economic crisis the prototype has not made it into production and the project was cancelled June 2010. With that the promise not to build a 2Souls 29er frame lost its meaning and
fastforward 6month, here we are with our own 29er frame concept.
This is a little sneakpeak of an older (workinprogress) CAD

From the beginning it was clear a 2Soulscycles frame would never be a lightweight/cc frame. Basically, we wanted a 29er version of our 41.5 funtail, for Allmountain, HXC, Enduro riding : combining the lively handling of a 26" bike with the advantages of the big 29er wheels.

For the past few years lots of new standards concerning headtubes, steerertubes and front derailleurs appeared on the market. As we tried to achieve high crosscompatibility we`ve chosen the relatively new 44mm id headtube standard so one can use 1 1/8", tapered and even 1.5" forks; and Shimano FD front derailleur brazeon to get the chainstaylength as short as possible with biiiig tires.

For almost 2 years we`ve neglected 2Soulscycles and this website almost completely, due to the work of organising EHBE.
From now on, we will change this again :)

El Jefe is nearly busting of ideas, and a whole list of new products is ready and waiting to be launched. We will let you know more about this in the next posts.

We`re also working on a new website with some more possibilities, bicycle configuration etc. This is a first impression -

because it will still take a little time ;)

Only this much up front: our growing distrust of the press/media combined with our happiness about the regular, often extensive and detailled feedback we get from many 2Souls riders, has led to the menu item riders`logs in place of the common press, and we invite you to share your experience with our bicycles (and us ;7) there soon. cu!

Experiments

The surface of the parts on this picture are covered with a ceramic coating. The method was developed by the arms industry, and with its extremely thin coat is quite weight-saving. It`s excellent mechanical properties promise high durability and ruggedness.

Disadvantages would be: the thin coating does not cover the rough texture of the shot-peened steel surface, which makes on-top decals impossible.
Moreover, choice of colours seems to be quite limited.

If the method keeps its promises through our tests with it, we`ll find solutions for these little problem.

We hope to be able to offer this coating as an alternative to powder coating for our custom frames, maybe also as upgrade of serial products.

requirements are :

- CCountry/Tour oriented geometry for100mm Reba,
- compact design
- big rear wheel clearance
- durability

Wether the frame will have standard dropouts or slider dropouts is still undecided. Wether it will available as complete bike only or also frame alone is as well an open question
